Electric toothbrush heads: which fit, and when to replace them

Last checked 2026-10-07.

Per each maker's own pages, no head fits across brands: the Dyson CameraJet, Oral-B iO and Sonicare each use their own heads. All three makers say to replace a head about every 3 months, which is 4 heads in 12 months for one person. Oral-B iO heads fit only iO handles, not older Oral-B brushes. Sonicare click-on heads fit most Sonicare handles, but not Philips One, Essence, Essence+ or Xtreme. The Dyson head carries an RFID tag, so the brush tells you when to change it.

Kinds of claim on this page: every fit and replacement statement is a manufacturer claim from the maker's own page, read 2026-10-07. "4 heads in 12 months" is a replacement every 3 months, counted over 12 months; it is not a maker figure. No prices are shown: check the retailer for the current price.
